The Problem

With 5 offices located around Liverpool and the Wirral, This leading firm of Solicitors is a very dynamic and forward thinking organisation that contracted with Copyrite Systems to assist in the rationalisation of their print infrastructure to obtain increased productivity and better cost management. They had different suppliers for each office and no single point of contact. We worked with the client to describe and quantify the following business objectives:

  • To increase user capability and productivity
  • To resolve recurring printer maintenance issues
  • To manage what users print
  • To reduce overall printer running costs

The Solution

Following an extensive manual print audit of each site, evaluating print volume and specific end user requirements in each area/floor. A specification was drawn up for each site.

This allowed for the exact current costs to be established and formed the benchmark for projected savings against proposed solution.

With the new solution design, follow-me printing and rules based printing was implemented that both drove down costs and eliminated wasted print jobs. The culture shift away from each user having their own printer to a shared MFP also allowed for change in internal processes that provided operational benefits to the organisation.
